Nes Oil & Gas Limited has a rich history supporting the UK and the rest of the world energy needs. We expanded from a small distributor to partnering with four refineries. Today, our refineries supplies petroleum products nationwide including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and petrochemical feedstocks.
Powering UK Businesses with Reliable Fuel Supply and Distribution
Nes Oil & Gas has fueled Britain’s future for over 20 years by powering movement and manufacturing. As the nation’s needs grow, so has our company – expanding from a small team of visionaries to one of Europe’s leading supplier.
While scale and complexity define us, our culture and vision propel us. As veterans of the energy industry, we know success depends on a tireless effort to add value at every step – whether relentlessly enhancing our operations through new innovations or building meaningful community partnerships.
Our partner refining complex can process over 270,000 barrels of crude oil per day into core petroleum products like gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, heating oil, propane and more. These fuels power transportation, businesses, and homes nationwide.
In addition to fuels, we produce naphtha, ethane, propane, butane and other feedstocks serving as raw materials for major chemical and plastic manufacturers. Our products support supply chains across automotive, aerospace, tech, medical, packaging, construction and countless other key industries.
We have trading relationships with over 45 countries to optimize our refining economics and enhance domestic fuel supplies. This provides access to cost-competitive crude or refined products when advantageous to UK market dynamics.
Nes employs over 30 scientists, process engineers and technical experts that provide guidance to improve fuel performance, troubleshoot issues, and increase efficiency for clients. This includes custom assays, site assessments, regulatory guidance and round-the-clock support.
Crude oil and recycled feedstocks enter the facility to supply the distillation units. Quality control testing ensures specifications are met before processing.
The crude oil is heated in towers up to 60 meters tall in order to separate the mixture into components like naphtha, kerosene, and diesel according to their boiling points.
Further heating, catalysts and reactions tailored to the separated oil cuts maximize production of high-value finished products like gasoline and jet fuel. Impurities are also removed to meet quality standards. The refined oil streams are blended to achieve the desired fuel grades and enhance performance. Fuel additives are introduced to improve combustibility and sustainability.
Finished gasoline, diesel and other fuels are stored on site before efficient distribution via pipeline, marine, rail and road transport to customers across the UK and abroad.
